Pumpkin Spice Smoothie

My favorite thing about the Thanksgiving holiday was always eating pumpkin pie. The thing is, we didn’t eat it for dessert. Well, most of the guests did, but my grandfather who was in charge of making the pies, would always save a special one that he and I would eat for breakfast the next day. I have no recollection as to why we did that or how it was the one tradition that maintained itself while so many of the others changed, but thankfully (no pun intended) it did.

Now breakfast pumpkin pies can be a real thing…in smoothie form. Grab a straw & slurp away! No guilt or judgement needed!

Notes

If you don't have hemp seeds, don't worry. Completely optional. They just add a little extra protein.
Feel free to use your preferred nut butter. Almond butter or cashew butter would work best without altering taste, but feel free to use peanut butter if that is all you have. Just know that it will have a slight impact on the flavor.
Enjoy!
